This project was an absolute joy to work on. Not only was this client awesome to work with, but I had the opportunity to pull together some amazing pieces of art for his walls. A recent trip to Africa with his friend (the insanely talented Hamish Mitchell), yielded many take-your-breath-away photos that were framed. He also had some killer vintage magazines that were screaming to be framed which made for some very cool statement pieces. The goal with the project was to juxtapose clean, modern elements against the existing traditional, heirloom pieces. As a world traveller, he requested a map for his office. I chose an unconventional cork map so he could pin his past travels, providing both form and function. The end result was a perfect blend of old and new, and a space that perfectly reflects my client’s personality.
